Day 1 – Delhi Arrival Delhi. Transfer to your hotel. Relax. Overnight will be at Delhi. Delhi, also by the official name National Capital Territory of Delhi (NCT), is the second-largest metropolis in India. With over 17.3 million residents, it is the eighth largest metropolis in the world by population. The name Delhi is often also used to include some urban areas near the NCT, as well as to refer to New Delhi, the capital of India, which lies within the NCT. The NCT is a federally administered union territory. Day 2 – Delhi – Ajmer – Pushkar Depart form Delhi to Pushkar via Ajmer. Pushkar is a sacred town for the Hindus, situated 11 kms. to the North-West of Ajmer. Pushkar boasts temples, though few are as ancient as you might expect at such an important pilgrimage site, since many were destroyed by Aurangzeb, a Mogul ruler and subsequently rebuilt. Day 3 – Ajmer – Udaipur Depart for Udaipur. Overnight will be at Udaipur. Udaipur is the city of Dawn, Udaipur is a lovely land around the azure water lakes, hemmed in by the lush hills of the Aravalis. A vision in white drenched in romance and beauty, Udaipur is a fascinating blend of sights, sounds and experiences - an inspiration for the imagination of the poets, painters and writers. Its kaleidoscope of fairy-tale palaces, lakes, temples, gardens and narrow lanes strewn with stalls, carry the flavor of heroic past, epitomizing valor and chivalry. Their reflection in the placid waters of the Lake Pichhola is an enticing sight.
Day 4 – Udaipur Full day sightseeing at Udaipur. Overnight will be at Udaipur. Day 5 – Udaipur - Mount Abu Depart for Mount Abu from Udaipur. Mount Abu is a true pilgrimage centre for the Jains as here we see the Delwara Jain temple complex with temples dating back to the 11 th century. Later see the Nakki Lake and then view the Sun going down the horizon from the sunset point. Overnight at Mount Abu. Day 6 – Mount Abu – Jodhpur Departure to Jodhpur. Overnight at Jodhpur. Post lunch session introduces you to the fabulous spice market of Jodhpur the 2nd largest city in Rajasthan. Walk along the market to feel the odours of the spices filling the air around you Then go to Mandore gardens the then capital of Marwar to view some of the fabulous cenotaphs and the hall of local heroes of the wars. Drive back to Jodhpur and see the Umaid Bhawan Palace, the present residence of the king of Jodhpur. Day 7 – Jodhpur – Jaisalmer Departure to Jaisalmer. Overnight will be at Jaisalmer. Jaisalmer nicknamed "The Golden City, is a town in the Indian state of Rajasthan. The town stands on a ridge of yellowish sandstone, crowned by a fort, which contains the palace and several ornate Jain temples. Many of the houses and temples are finely sculptured. It lies in the heart of “Thar Desert” and has a population of about 78,000. Day 8 – Jaisalmer Full day sightseeing at Jaisalmer. Overnight will be at Jaisalmer. Day 9 – Jaisalmer – Bikaner Departure to Bikaner. Full Day Sightseeing in Bikaner. Overnight will be at Bikaner. Bikaner lies in the north-western part of Rajasthan state of India. This desert city has a stark beauty which is totally unique. The wide-spread sand dunes, the moonlit glittering beauty and desert agility, the worth-seeing natural sites, the marvelous palaces and temples, wild life sanctuaries and archeological treasures all combine to make this city a place of lasting charm and permanent attraction. Day 10 – Bikaner – Jaipur Depart for Jaipur. Overnight will be in Jaipur. Jaipur is the first planned city of India, located in the desert lands of Rajasthan. The city that once had been the capital of the royalty, now serves as the capital city of Rajasthan. The very structure of Jaipur resembles the taste of the Rajputs and the Royal family. The city of Jaipur, painted in pink, grasp the appreciation of every visitor. One can see that hoary charm still alive in the avenues of Jaipur. Day 11 – Jaipur Full day sightseeing at Jaipur. Overnight will be at Jaipur. Day 12 – Jaipur – Agra Departure to Agra. Full Day Sightseeing in Agra. Overnight will be at Agra. Agra is a medieval city situated on the banks of the river Yamuna. It is generally accepted that Sultan Sikandar Lodī, the Ruler of the Delhi Sultanate founded it in the year 1504. After the Sultan's death the city passed on to his son Sultan Ibrāhīm Lodhī. He ruled his Sultanate from Agra until he fell fighting to Bābar in the First battle of Panipat fought in 1526. Day 13 – Agra Sightseeing in Agra. Overnight will be at Agra. Day 14 – Agra - Brindavan - Mathura – Agra We have an excursion a short distance away to Mathura and Brindavan both the cities pious due to Lord Krishna. Mathura happens to be Lord Krishna's birth place and Brindavan where the Lord spent his childhood chasing village demoiselles and breaking there milk pots. After Mathura, we will go to Brindavan to witness the evening chants in the ISCON temple and then return to Agra. Day 15 – Agra – Varanasi Departure to Varanasi. Varanasi, the holy city of India, is also known by the name of Kashi and Benaras. |
