Uttaranchal now Uttarakhand became the 27th state of the Republic of India in November 2000. Carved out of the state of Uttar Pradesh, Uttaranchal mainly comprises the hilly regions of Uttar Pradesh. The state borders Himachal Pradesh in the north-west and Uttar Pradesh in the South, and has international borders with Nepal and China. Uttranchal has it all for trekking, rafting and all adventures. Rishikesh is holy city for Hindus and a famous centre of pilgrimage. It is also known as the gateway to the Himalayas and is located around 25 kilometers away from another holy city, Haridwar. Rishikesh is the starting point for traveling to the sites that form the Char Dham pilgrimage - Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri and Yamunotri and a perfect place for rafting, trekking and so many adventures.
Day 01. In the afternoon, arrive in Rishikesh. Transfer to the camp. On arrival at camp, get served with hot buffet lunch and then spend some free time to explore the area. Proceed for a Jungle Trek or Waterfall or Vashist Cave. Enjoy evening tea, bonfire with lite snacks. Have Dinner. Overnight at the camp.
Day 02. After breakfast, start Rafting from Marine Drive to Rishikesh (24km). Today, we hit some of the most exciting rapids on the Ganga i.e. Return to Sender, Roller Coaster, Golf Course & Club house. We hit Initiation, Double Trouble, Hilton and Terminator. One can also try Body Surfing and Cliff Jumping in this section. In the later part, we float past temples and ashrams and Ghats. Enjoy the riverbank life along the Ganga. Arrive in Rishikesh. Tour concludes.
